Theme: In conjunction with World Rivers Day 2018 celebration, the River of Life Public Outreach Programme Phase 5 (ROLPOP5) will be organising a RIVER CARNIVAL - a fun and educational event at Masjid Jamek , Kuala Lumpur on September 23, 2018.
The event is organised by the Department of Irrigation and Drainage Malaysia (DID Malaysia), Department of Irrigation and Drainage Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur (DBKL) and the Global Environment Centre (GEC); supported by the Ministry of Federal Territory. With various fun activities, the event offers wholesome enjoyment for the whole family.

River Quest
Where: Plaza Batik, Masjid Jamek (flag off area).

Time: 7.30am-12.00pm

Be prepared to get sweaty as you explore the confluence of Klang and Gombak River! In this explore-race type activity, participants will have to complete tasks and answer questions correctly in order to proceed to the next checkpoint. This activity is for young adults aged 18 years old and above. Tasks must be done in a group of 4 members. Admission is free. Register online (group registration) to participate. Registration is closed.

Children workshop and eco games
Where: Lebuh Pasar Besar (near Guiding Gallery)

Time: 10.00am-11.00am

Inviting kids aged 7 to 12 years old to be a young river scientist by carrying out mini experiments to measure good and bad river water quality and participate in eco-games. Admission is free. Register online. Limited spots available.
